Mike Gerber Recognized as a Lifetime Delegate of the National Association of Home Builders
Builders Mutual is proud to announce that Mike Gerber, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, was recognized as a Lifetime Delegate of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) on January 23 during the Associations recent Leadership Council meeting.
This designation recognized Gerber’s decade of service as a member of the Association’s Board of Directors, now known as the NAHB Leadership Council. Gerber has also served as a member on both the NAHB Construction Liability, Risk Management & Building Materials Committee and the Construction Safety and Health Committee.
In 2014, Gerber was influential in establishing the Job-Site Safety Institute (JSI) and currently serves as the JSI President. Founded by Builders Mutual, the Job-Site Safety Institute (JSI) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. This research and educational organization is dedicated to eliminating all job-site related injuries and deaths in the construction industry. Research by JSI will plays a critical role in improving on-the-job safety and saving lives. As a proponent of service beyond self, Gerber believes strongly in educating others on making job-sites safe for all.
Gerber is continually striving to better the construction industry, and has become an advocate to those within the field of construction. Gerber’s years of leadership experience stems from overseeing multiple departmental functions including underwriting, risk management, business development, sales, marketing, human resources and organizational effectiveness during his 22 years at Builders Mutual.
