Builders Mutual Supports Hurricane Florence Disaster Relief
In the aftermath of Hurricane Florence, Builders Mutual joined efforts with the state and local Home Builders Associations in North Carolina and the state Home Builders Association of South Carolina to help their many members and families impacted by significant damage and flooding. We wanted to show our support to those in our footprint who were severely impacted by the storm.
Builders Mutual contributed $10,000 to the NCHBA Hurricane Florence Disaster Relief Fund and $10,000 to the SC Charitable Fund. We also partnered closely with the local North Carolina associations who were identified as FEMA disaster areas. An additional $30,500 was donated in varying amounts to 10 local associations. These funds will be used to support members or local nonprofits in their areas that are in the greatest need.
“Hurricane Florence moved through the Carolinas slowly and left a lasting impact on the eastern counties of both North and South Carolina. Builders Mutual employees and their families were affected as well as our partners in the home building industry. This disaster impacted so many in our area that Builders Mutual was compelled to respond,” states John Boggs, President/CEO of Builders Mutual. “Giving back is a large part of our company culture and we hope these donations will aid in the recovery and rebuilding in our footprint.”
Headquartered in North Carolina, Builders Mutual is one of the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast’s leading writers of commercial insurance for the construction industry.
