In the next 12-18 months, the goals for this position are to:
- Write the processes that will extract data from the source (AS400) system into the data warehouse dimensional model in SQL Server 2005, using Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services and SQL Procedures.
- Use Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services and Analysis Services to present the data as well as help to develop other innovative ways to present the data.
- Take a lead technical role in the transition of the current data warehouse extract from monthly to daily including tasks such as:
- developing new ETL processes
- working with source system vendors to ensure correct mappings
- develop balancing process and controls
- Be a technical mentor for our end users and information management team in addition to conducting formal training to our user community on how to:
- develop ad hoc reports
- execute parameter-driven reports
- navigate OLAP cubes
Job QualificationsThe ideal candidate will have:
- BA/BS degree with at least 10 years of information technology experience
- At least 3 years of which should have been in data warehouse development or an equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in the insurance industry
- Experience with Microsoft business intelligence toolset using SQL Server 2005 (or earlier versions) is required, as are proficient SQL skills for query execution in support of data analysis
- Experience with .NET programming and multidimensional modeling and development are required.

Job SummaryGoals for this position:
- Update, as necessary, testing assets including test plan template and test procedure template; develop other test assets, such as test matrix.
- Create test plan and test scripts for 3-5 major projects including systems migration project and expansion into additional states. Test plans and test scripts meet project schedule and may be implemented with no more than 4 major revisions per project.
- For 3-5 projects, apply and manage the requirements process including creating a project charter, soliciting and documenting requirements and enabling traceability between requirements and testing plans. Deliverables, such as project charter and requirements documents, meet project schedule, requirements are effectively used for test process and stakeholders have signed-off.
- Create, implement and maintain automated test scripts for a project.
- Research, manage and lead resolution of 40-50 production incidents.
Job Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science required with at least 3 years experience with business support operations and automated testing tools in a property and casualty insurance setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Successful track record translating business requirements and system specifications into technical specifications and test plans
- Ability to facilitate teams and lead decision-making processes in a collaborative environment
- Proven understanding of project management processes
- Ability to communicate well and make effective presentations
- Working knowledge of diagramming techniques such as Functional Decomposition, Data Flows, Activity Diagrams
- Experience writing functional specifications
- Solid command of scripting language (VBA or similar)
- Effective communication and presentation skills

Premium Audit
| Job Title: Premium Auditor for Wake County Area |

Job Summary
The Premium Auditor performs premium audits on workers' compensation and general liability lines to establish appropriate classifications, exposures and basis of premium.
Position Goals:
Within the first 12 to 18 months, you will:
1. Successfully complete a between 17 to 20 audits per week. A delinquency ratio of less than 20% should be achieved within first 6 months.
2. Complete monthly audit reports on time and accurately. Reports should indicate that work assignments reflect efficient travel, timeliness of audits and productivity.
3. Demonstrate excellent customer service skills:
- Resolve audit disputes within 2 weeks
- Tactfully assist agents/insured to understand audit worksheets within 24 hours of question
- Assist underwriters in audit related matters by providing audit information within 24 hours of question
4. Learn the audit procedures of the company. This includes all worksheets, time sheets, monthly audit reports, and computer system. Depending on candidate’s experience, this can take from two weeks to three months. Training is in the Raleigh office and candidate will be given a mentor for questions that arise in the field.

Job SummaryThe Risk Management Consultant is responsible for conducting surveys with policyholders and prospective policyholders in the Eastern North Carolina territory. Based on our customer demographics, candidates should be fluent in both English and Spanish. Field inspections will focus on underwriting eligibility and ways to improve overall loss results of the risk.
Position Goals
1. Within the first 60 days, complete the Risk Management training/orientation program.
2. In conjunction with Risk Management manager, identify and meet with 10 largest accounts in territory to review service schedule and needs. This should be done during initial 120 days.
3. Initial file quality review will be conducted on 100% of surveys written. A performance level of 90% adequacy should be achieved within first 6 months.
4. Attend several local HBA meetings and conduct agent visits to develop partnership in the local territory. Spend one day with Territory Manager on agency visits.
Duties
- Identify and survey accounts in assigned region.
- Schedule and conduct work that produces a minimum of 25 units of work per month.
- Prepare and submit survey reports within required time frames.
- Conduct periodic safety talks in areas of proficiency as requested by local home builders associations, clients, and supervisor.
- Provide BMIC marketing information to potential clients.
- Conduct his/her business in a professional manner so as to conserve and protect the corporate funds of BMIC.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
- BA/BS in a Science/Technology field and at lest five years safety/risk management experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Fluent in both English and Spanish.
- Strong computer (MS Office, Lotus Notes) and customer service skills required; mainframe experience preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills, and verbal and written presentation skills required, as well as the ability to plan and manage time effectively.
