Builders Mutual Insurance Company (BMIC) offers comprehensive
employee benefits, tailored to fit your needs:
Medical, Dental,
and Flexible Spending Account
Unless otherwise noted, these benefits begin the first of the
month following thirty days of service.
- Open access point of service medical plan, with BMIC paying
100% of the employee-only premium. Dental coverage paid at
50-100% of the cost for diagnostic, preventative and restorative
care, with BMIC paying 100% of the employee-only cost.
- A flexible
spending plan, in which you can defer money pre-tax for approved
medical expenses (up to $2500 annually) and/or childcare expenses
(up to $5,000 annually).
401(k) / 401(k) Plan
You are eligible to join the BMIC 401(k)/Roth 401(k) plan on
the first of the quarter following six months of service.
- Total
deferrals in any taxable year may not exceed a dollar limit
that is set by Federal law.
- BMIC currently matches 100% of
the first 5% of your salary deferral. This match is fully vested.
- BMIC
may make additional discretionary contributions.
Short and Long Term Disability
- BMIC pays 100% of the premium for both of these plans.
- Short term
disability benefits begin 15 days after an injury or illness.
- Long term disability
benefits begin on the 91st day of disability.
Life Insurance
- BMIC offers basic life insurance that grows as your tenure
with us grows. There’s no cost for our basic insurance.
- You
can purchase optional insurance in $10,000 increments and can
also insure your spouse and children.
Other Benefits:
- Paid time off between 17 and 28 days per year, based upon
length of service.
- Business casual dress code and a standard 37.5 hour work
week.

- Semi-monthly (15th and end of month) paydays.
